Samsung could be making some pretty big design changes to the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra. Will it be the right move? The front design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the successor to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, surfaced on the internet earlier this month via a leaked render. The render only showed slightly more rounded corners and a narrower bezel. In the latest news, leaker Ice Universe has shared a more detailed render that reveals its side profile. As you can see from the opening image, the new device is expected to have a completely flat side frame. While the Korean company has slightly changed the side frame in recent years, this leaked render suggests a significant change in the design. If confirmed, the next Galaxy flagship could look more like recent Meizu devices with flat sides and slightly rounded corners than the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

That said, it’s essential to remember that the render comes from an unofficial source and that the company still has time to make changes. Therefore, it’s essential to take the information about the new design with a grain of salt.

A previous leak mentioned that the phone will be slightly narrower but will have a wider display thanks to thinner bezels. Specifically, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to be the same width as the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The phone will launch in the first quarter of 2025 and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. It could use the 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor (improved from the previous 10-megapixel) with 3x zoom, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom. It is also said that a new version of the 1/2.76-inch JN1 sensor for the ultra-wide-angle camera will be used, which will have a resolution of 50-megapixel. It has also been reported that one of the telephoto lenses will include a 1/3″ ISOCELL sensor, improving the clarity and stability of zoomed shots. This could be the 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x zoom. We have to wait for the next few weeks to learn more about this.
